Thanks to its position high in the mountains, Gargellen is especially lovely in winter, offering stunning views both in the village and from the Schafberg plateau. Walkers enjoying the Gargellen winter landscape will revel in the fact that the only noise to be heard is the rhythmic crunching of the snow beneath their feet!
Use of the marked winter walking tracks is only permitted in suitable weather conditions.. Map of winter walking tracks to download

Your attention, please!
Please do not leave the marked walking tracks! Anyone walking outside these designated areas is in unregulated territory and walks at his or her own risk. In winter it is imperative to watch for any weather changes, as well taking into consideration the structure of the snow cover and the prevalent avalanche risk factor, which can change quite suddenly. If there is any doubt, turn back immediately and never take any risks.
Due to daily variations in temperature, localised ice patches are always possible.
