Whether you fancy a sociable game of cards or prefer to merely sit and relax, our traditional Montafoner parlour is the just the place to be!
In the old Montafon houses, the parlour was often the only room with any heating. As a result it was here that the family would congregate. Typical features of these parlours are the pinewood panelling, the tiled stove and the Montafoner table. The traditional Montafoner tables were square in shape with sliced-off corners, and had a slab of slate in the middle. This enabled mum to stand hot pots on the table straight from the stove, and dad could work out his expenses, writing on it with a piece of chalk. Typical too is the fine inlaid work, produced by using various types of wood of contrasting colours.
